Ed Congdon

Ed can be considered one of the old men of the magic world. Along with many others, magic got into him in the 6th grade and he has been in love with it for over 60 years.

During WWII he became a pilot, and flew in the Pacific theater. He was recalled and flew again during the Korean War. During this time he entertained all the guys with pocket magic. After the war years he continued in commerical aviation, which meant he could only do magic when he was in town.

After retirement, Ed and his wife, Dot, went into the magic business full time. They have performed at "The Club" in Birmingham, special event shows for Liberty National Life, birthday parties, Cub Scouts events, school and library programs throughout the state and have been invited once again to perform on May 12th, 2005 in Branson, Missouri for the annual magic convention.

Ed has a special rapport with children, having 15 great grandchildren of his own. He wants everyone always to leave feeling they have had a great time and perhaps learned a little about life through his "motivational magic shows". His prayer to the All-Mighty is that He lets him stick around awhile so he can continue to cause people to go "ooh!" and "aah!" and laugh as they enjoy the magic.
